This is a theoretical work carried out in PSG College of Technology on design of solar absorption chiller for a laboratory. This paper mainly concentrates on the cooling load estimation, economic benefits and environmental benefits of the system. This was published in a National conference. This is a project work carried out during my Bachelor's in Mechanical. It is basically an experimental work on CPU cooling using thermosyphon and heat sinks. This technology was proposed to perform better than the conventional Fan heat sink cooling unit. Later, based on the quality of the work it was published in various reputed journals. This paper talks about the experimental investigation done on the cooling module in detail. This paper presents the thermoeconomic optimization approach to determine the optimum wall insulation thickness for four different insulation materials applied in five different cities in India. This paper conveys the best insulation material for the chosen cities based on cost of energy, savings and payback period. This is a theoretical work carried on HPHE systems for waste heat recovery. As the name indicated, exergy analysis is carried to find the optimum effectiveness of the system at which the system gives best performance with maximum savings. This work directly presents the polynomial equation to determine the effectiveness which may help the designers to make use of it. This paper talks about the thermal model developed for the cooling module in order to determine the effectiveness of the same. This is my phase I thesis work carried out in PSG College of Technology during my master's in Energy Engineering. This work conveys the use of solar thermal collectors and phase change materials in absorption chiller to cool the telecommunication shelters in India. This technology overthrows the usage of conventional air conditioners to cool the telecom shelters, thereby, saving a lot of money and reducing carbon emissions in a country where fossil fuels are diminishing in a faster pace than expected. Even though this work is a design and analysis genre, the proposal is a first of its kind in telecom sector, therefore, interested people can go through and drop your comments below. This is my phase II thesis work carried out in Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions India Ltd. during my master's in Energy in PSG College of Technology. This thesis mainly talks about the estimation of power output from photovoltaic arrays using mathematical models. This work was carried out with a common man's perspective, such that any non technical person can make use of this model to estimate the power output for his/her power plant installed in the roof top. Even though the model is carried for a particular climatic condition, it can be extended for other climatic zones in India. Interested people can go through my thesis and drop your comments below. |
